Kyosho cup special!

I took the old super 10 for a blast but broke the pull
starter. Then I went to the chugoku round of the
kyosho cup only 30 mins away. Here is the A main of the
R class, start and then the end. I have the full race
of the sportsmans class but the file is currently too
big so I'm editing it. This is todays race you lucky
people! My mate (Okada san) finished second in the R
class which is a real shame since the winner gets the right
to enter the world final.

The start

The end

I have the full video of the A main of the sportsman class but
I just need to edit the size down to fit on you tube.

Mini Z racing

Mini Z racing in Platopia. The blue car is Fujii san.  They changed the
course so now there the straight is longer but there is that nasty
chicane at the end.

Satellite image of my old track!

I found a satellite image of the circuit I used to race at before moving
in April.  You can just make out the racing line.   The circuit is called
'success' in Fukuoka prefecture.   The short video clip taken from
a race in march.  I took it on my mobile phone so the quality is quite
poor.

First time to the track in a week!

It rained earlier in the day so the track was pretty dirty.  This is
the Fuji Model Speedway near the Mizushima interchange.   (Click
on the pic to englarge it)

It was nice to finally get some running in with the TA05 but I put another
crack in the body!  :-(   I need that body for the GT Japan qualifiing
race on the 6th August!

Now for todays featured item!  25 in 1 computer game!  I got it out
of one of those claw machines.  Its pretty sweet.

Here's a small clip I took of one of the games, UFO racer.

Changing the gear box (and engine, and servo, duh)

Well there it is. Thats what I did today and it took bloody ages. A lot of the super 10 and TR15 share commmon parts, especially the gearbox and the original engine (which in my is the GS15 since I have the older TR15 rally.)  I took out the 2 speed and the four stroke and stuck in the othe gears and engine from the TR15.  And changed the servo, AND then had to clean out and reoil the carb as it was stuck from bashing in the park a few months back.  (See vid)

Maintenance

Had planned to take my super 10 out for a spin.  But the 2 speed
gearbox was playing up (I hate it, I'm gonna put in the 1 speed).

Couldn't get the carb working so changes it, then the engine worked
fine.  But unfortunately I thing the brake/accel servo is buggered, so I
gave up on it today.  I went to a new RC shop and picked up some new
differential cups for my TA05 (I broke the plastic one on the front in
the week).

Replacing the cups also gave me a chance to lube the bearings.

Next, body repair.  Just some red radz and glass tape.

Mmmmmmmm....  not the best job i've ever done.

I'm thinking about going to shiga prefecture to enter in the tamiya
grand prix round there.  But its really far away so I'll probably wait
until september for the round closer to me in tamano.

And got secong place!
